CHRISTMAS IN CANADA

It looks like Avril is taking Brody home for Christmas, as the paparazzi snapped them landing in Toronto today, with Amie and Matt there to pick them up. Happy Holidays! Thanks Avrilsmusic.

WHAT THE HELL PREVIEW!

FINALLY, we have a 30 second preview of What The Hell! I really like it! It sounds very contemporary and goes with whats on the radio right now and is extremely catchy. I think (and hope) that this will be great for Avril! If you don't like it, don't worry, because Avril has said that this is the most pop sounding song on the record. This is sooo exciting!

I, I, I, am thinking what the hell
All I want is to mess around
And I, I, I don't really care about
If you love me
If you hate me
You can save me
Baby, baby
All my life I've been good, but now
Whoooooooa what the hell!

What? What? What the hell

ABBEYDAWN.COM

AbbeyDawn.com opens tomorrow, and if you are one of the first 50 people to make an order, you will receive a free "What The Hell" tshirt and an autograph! Make sure to do it early (like, as soon as the site launches) because I sure they will go fast and you won't be able to know if you are one of the 50 or not.

Avril must know that we are getting impatient. she tweeted today (Friday),

Hey guys - a few more final tweaks on the @AbbeyDawn store and we're there. Back 2 U really soon with the details! - xoxo

That also means that Abbey Dawn has an official Twitter account! Make sure you tweet it (and @AvrilLavigne) about how excited we, at Avril-L.org, are for all of her upcoming projects!

NEW AVRIL (WRITTEN) SONG

Avril, along with hit maker Max Martin and Shellback wrote this song entitled "Dancing Crazy", which was recently recorded by Miranda Cosgrove (the same girl who has "Daydream" on her debut CD). This is the same team who wrote "What The Hell", "Smile", "Wish You Were Here", and "Stop Standing There" for "Goodbye Lullaby". It's a catchy song and I could picture Avril singing it, but I hope she doesn't go this route for the whole album (very pop sounding). Enjoy!

WHAT THE HELL SINGLE COVER

Here is the official single cover of "What The Hell", posted from Avril's Twitter. I love the picture, and LOL at the "drink me" necklace - reminds me of Alice in Wonderland!

ABBEY DAWN FOR MEN

Avril recently did an interview in which she discussed launching an Abbey Dawn mens line, as well as the juniors line (in which AbbeyDawn.com launches this Friday).

Avril Lavigne Designs Personal Clothes

Avril Lavigne's female designs reflect her ''personal style'', while the men's clothes in her Abbey Dawn range are made for her brother. Avril Lavigne designs her female clothes for herself, and her men's clothes for her brother.

The 'What the Hell' singer has gained lots of confidence from the initial success of her Abbey Dawn clothing line - which was available exclusively at US retailer Kohl's and is now being sold online - and she now sees it as "another way to be creative" outside of her music.

Avril said: "The inspiration for my line comes from my personal style. I'm designing the things I want. I'm not a huge fan of floral. I like stripes and plaid and polka dots and all-over prints of skulls.

"I'm designing it for me, really. I learned a lot about myself with designing. The stuff I was really excited about for Kohl's did well.

"It gave me the confidence. You don't have to be perfect. It's about having fun. It's a lot of fun. It's another way to be creative. It's all the same. It comes from me."

Avril - who got the name of her brand from a nickname her father gave her as a young girl - is also launching a menswear line, including T-shirts, hoodies and caps in gray, black, white and red, which she says is inspired by her brother, Matt.

She added to WWD: "I think about my brother and I think about my band. It's for the guy who's into brands like Metal Mulisha - just edgier."
Abbey Dawn's website launches this Friday (17.12.10), with the brand to supply to shops including Trash and Vaudeville in New York and Blue Banana in the U.K, and the brand will work up toward a spring 2012 debut of a full juniors fashion line.

And this article discusses some prices

Avril Lavigne Goes Solo With Her Own Clothing Line

Tough little pop tart Avril Lavigne is going out on her own with her Kohl's-produced junior's clothing line, Abbey Dawn.

The singer will launch e-commerce—the line's primary vehicle for sales—this Friday, followed by mini collections released throughout next year and a full-fledged debut for spring 2012. In addition to placing it primarily on the web, Lavigne is hoping to wholesale her collection to independent boutiques worldwide and, hopefully, the major department stores. Stores that have signed up include NYC's Trash and Vaudeville and the U.K. chain Blue Bananas.

Abbey Dawn will continue in the same aesthetic direction it went at Kohl's: not surprisingly, a medley of skull and animal prints in black and neon colors, with graphic phrases based on Lavigne's album, "What the Hell?" On its own, however, Abbey Dawn will feature slightly more expensive fabrics and detailing, and will retail between $17.50 for t-shirts and $80 for sneakers. The line, which will be unveiled next month, will also include denim, accessories, handbags, swimwear and shoes with, you guessed it, plenty of skull motifs.

NEW LAYOUT

I've just added a great new layout, made by Celeste. I'm changing the look of the content as well, so it will take a little while to get it all changed over. I hope you like it!
