The reviews are in for the first 2 shows on The Black Star Canadian tour, and they are anything but generous. Looks like some people just aren't understanding how much Avril has grown as an artist.

Yes, this tour isn't as glamorous, or as much of a production as The Best Damn Tour, but one thing they managed to notice is that Avril's voice has greatly matured. Hope that as the tour goes on, there will be more positive reviews. On the plus part, Avril added Everybody Hurts in Vancouver!

Along with Evan Taubenfeld (Avril's best friend and former guitarist), Canadian band The New Cities will also be the opening act, for Avril on her cross Canada tour. Also added to the bill is rock band The Cab who will also be opening 6 Western Canada dates. GET EXCITED!!!
