I thought she did a good job on it!
I was curious to see how she would perform it, with her full band no less, and I have to say I like the live version. I also liked the way the stage was decorated, and the fact that she was dressed like she is in the video.

I probably shouldn't go there, but I think those fans who don't care for Jim aren't gonna like that fact that he was playing the piano here. But you can't please everyone, I guess. Notice also that she looked over and smiled at Jim once or twice - I thought it was cute! Probably a knowing smile. Oh, and after all the comments that Jim's mic was too loud during her performance in Vancouver Sunday (which I do agree, it was too loud), I was less aware of his vocals here. Maybe Av and the band got feedback after the Olympic performance? I'm sure we weren't the only ones who noticed.
But, bottom line, thank you Avril, for another great performance! Can't wait to see more!

she sang it much lower so the refrain part doesn't sound like screaming?? If someone else noticed it. It was a really cool performance with all the decoration, really like Wonderland wink

Wow,that little video was awesome!! hahaha The dress is BEAUTIFUL. It looks great on Avril,Im so glad she wore it.
and I noticed her voice sounds a little deeper!

I don't know about you guys, but I was just soo proud of Avril after I saw this on TV, and I haven't been proud of her in a long time. Everything just blew me away - her vocals, the whole stage setup, the music, the SONG, how beautiful she looked - to me it's one of the most memorable performances i've seen of her. She really made me proud to be an Avril fan.

I agree @Angie! She sounded so good and performed this with a sound that reminds me of the Avril I became a fan of in 2002. She seemed like she was being herself and using her real voice, with the lower pitch. I also thought this version was better than the recorded studio one because she didn't yell through the whole thing. She looked very comfortable during this performance and I feel like that is something I haven't seen since Under My Skin. It really was great!

I LOVED this version of the song!! I wish the original was like this! I mean, I don't like the yelling (in the original version) but it really fits, the lyrics are I'll get by, I'll survive and I won't cry.. If you get what I'm trying to say.. wink

I really loved avrils performance, It was beautifully done and she sounded great..I love that avril wrote such an amazing and different song, every time I hear the song it makes me feel better when I am having a bad day, It inspires me to get back up and keep fighting, thank you avril for being such an inspiration and wonderful person, I love ya hun..:D..

And i watched the performance from the
Olympics and i felt the same way that he was way louder then avril, It was hard to hear her over him, but maybe it was a mistake in the mics or somthing, anyways it was still an awesome performance..:D..love ya avril..:D..

She's good with that kinda stuff. I want more electric guitar. She's good with the heavy stuff (Like Forgotten) and also fast stuff like He wasn't,One of those girls,ect.

Maybe the first single will be a rock song or a soft rock song like complicated was, not too much guitars but not kind a ballad. I'm so excited, no one really knows what kind of music she wrote on the new album. we could ask evan *LOL

I love her voice too! It is deeper than in "the best damn thing" and I like this version better than the original song! :)
Of course, we know that Avril's 4th album will be more acoustic but I like that, I think there will be lots of songs like "Fall To Pieces" or "Complicated" :)
The song "Alice" is way different from what Avril did before, but I think it's just for the film.. I just miss some guitars in this song.

And...I like that Devin Bronson is in her band again! He plays very good, he is handsome and he moves very well on stage :)
