June 4 marks 20 years since the release of Avril’s debut album, “Let Go”. A 2LP vinyl release will come out in early 2023, but the digital version is out now! The re-release includes all 13 original songs, plus 6 additional tracks including “I Don’t Give”, “Get Over It”, “Why”, “Falling Down”, “Make Up” (never officially released) and a new recording of “Breakaway”. The vocals remain largely unchanged but John Feldman has rearranged some songs to be more guitar driven.

I’m loving this version of Breakaway, with Avril’s 2022 vocals and who knew that “Why” was never just the acoustic version we got? “Make Up”, on the other hand was always my least favorite from those leaks 10+ years ago… why didn’t they release the title track “Let Go”?
