As you know, Avril has been in the spotlight for 16 years, and along with that, comes tons and tons of media. I have been working on the videos section of this site, but there are soooo many out of date files.

Back when Avril-L.org started, Youtube wasn’t that popular so everything was available as download, instead of streaming. This just isn’t practical anymore, so I want to take every video and link them to Youtube/Dailymotion/somewhere streaming. The issue is that all of the downloaded videos are no longer available and need to be found again. This is where I need some assistance.

If anyone has time to help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it. If you can, see the notes below:

• Check the videos on the pages here and if anything is no longer working, make a list and send me the updated links. Keep in mind that other people might be doing this at the same time, so send me your updates when you have them so I can make the changes ASAP.
• See the videos from 2002-2008 here, and find new links via Youtube/Dailymotion/etc. Same note above about sending ASAP.
• Compile a list of whatever you can and I will update. Email me at onlyavril@shaw.ca

The “Head Above Water” music video consists of Avril, surrounded by this gorgeous scenery of Iceland, running from her inner demons, begging God to help her, help her overcome her difficulties. I love what director Elliott Lester did, he captured the lyric imagery and emotions perfectly. Not to mention that our Avril looks breathtakingly beautiful! Thoughts? Comments?

From the very first day I started writing this song, I have been inspired and gathering visuals and imagining what the music video could look like. @ElliottLester88, I respect you so much. You are insanely talented. Thank you for working closely with me and hearing my ideas. You not only completely captured my vision, but took this video to an entirely new level, even when it meant going all the way to Iceland. You are my hero. I loved every moment of working on this video with you.

Thank you to my co-writers @traviswethekings, I know God brought you to me to work with me and @Stephanmoccio, You slayed on this track. I’m obsessed with the production. Chad Kroeger and @CBaseford, thank you for recording my vocals.

You all worked together so well. You all took such good care of me and had my back though this experience. I can’t thank you enough.

Anyone else FEEL the emotions through the screen? I can’t believe how far she’s come. Avril’s officially back in the mainstream.

Mark your calendars! Avril will make her debut performance of “Head Above Water” on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE Wednesday, September 26. The show airs on ABC at 11:35 Eastern /10:35pm Central time.

Avril is continuing to bring the strong messaging of ‘Head Above Water’ through The Avril Lavigne Foundation. The Foundation has launched a charitable t-shirt campaign that will raise funds to directly impact individuals affected by Lyme that wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford treatment. Avril’s first single in 5 years, “Head Above Water” from her upcoming (untitled) 6th album, is NOW AVAILABLE! Get this song wherever you buy/listen to music.

I was really surprised by this – in a good way! Her vocals are strong and it has a sort of haunting “Alice” feel. The imagery is very prominent and I can’t wait to see the music video! It’s not poppy like her past, so not sure how radio will deal with it, but for us waiting 5 years, this is a solid debut!!
